Out of the 3 Nick Hornby books that I’ve read, this is definitely the one that I hated the least 😁 The characters were better developed, in my opinion, than the ones in “A Long Way Down” & “High Fidelity”. Nevertheless, what seems to have saved the rating of the book, was the fact of imagining Hugh Grant as the main character & his sarcastic acting in the dialogues of the book. Therefore this makes one of the rare cases where I’d say that the movie is better than the book & would suggest anyone to watch it, rather than read Hornby’s written version 🙊.
